Holy Toledo!

Good evening from Toledo, Spain! So much has happened since I last wrote. I don't have a ton of time to write now, but I thought I'd fill you in a little bit.

I've done a lot of traveling this month. We've visited Huelva, La Mancha, Toledo and tomorrow Madrid. Along the way to Huelva, I lost my camera (which was actually my friend's camera) and searched everywhere I could to find it. But no luck. A day later, I was blessed by a friend in our program..she gave me her camera! She said that her aunt had given her the camera during the summer and she had bought a new camera right before she came to Spain. She hadn't been sure why she had brought both cameras.. but said she now knew why. =) Wow! God is so good!

Haya

Every Tuesday, I've been going to the University of Sevilla to just eat lunch with students. It's been a great opportunity and I've met a lot of really fun people. :) Then after lunch, I go to a convent to help tutor a little girl with her English. Her name is Haya. It's been a challenge working with her.. as she doesn't know a lot of English. She is 9 and is supposed to be more advanced, but doesn't even really know the alphabet. =/ I haven't done a lot of tutoring or teaching English, so it's been a learning experience to figure out how to effectively teach.

I've also been going to a Bible study every Thursday night. The people that come are mainly Americans, so it's been great to have some fellowship. This last Thursday I got some good news! Sarah Bentley, our Student Ministries Coordinator, called me and said that they had found my camera on a bus we had taken. Awesome, huh? I got the camera back today...all intact with pictures and all. =) Once again, God is so good.
Painting a fan!

A couple of weeks ago, we had a little school event and got together to paint fans! Fans are a huge thing in Spain. Everyone has them and everyone sells them. It was fun to do and a good way to blow off some steam. I don't think I've been that creative before. :)

Today we are in Toledo and Tomorrow we are going to Madrid for the weekend. It's been a busy couple of weeks and I'm sure this week will be just as busy, with 1 presentation and two tests.

I am excited to announce that Matt and I are going to Paris! He'll arrive in 16 days.. on the 30th! Woohoooooo! We'll spend a few days in Sevilla and then about four days in Paris. It will be his first time to Europe! So I'm sure it will be a long, but exciting trip for him. :)

Well, it's about that time to close my eyes. =) I will try to write more soon, but we'll see how this next week pans out. It's rather difficult to blog because I don't have consistent internet access. Love you all!

Vaya con Dios. (Go with God)
